
For those who have not known yet, these dancing inmates are from the Cebu Provincial Detention Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison located in Cebu, Philippines. The head of the prison, Byron F. Garcia, started a program of choreographed exercise routines for the inmates. At first, he just wanted to introduce a program for the inmates to have an hour of exercise a day. He claimed that his inspiration came from the movie The Shawshank Redemption

The CPDRC inmates have produced a number of video dance performances including the Korean dance hit "Nobody" by the Wonder Girls, MJ's "Thriller", JAI HO (Remix) from the popular movie Slum Dog Millionaire
